GWM reveals the One New Zealand Warriors Bandwagon to help Sydneysiders pledge their allegiance to the Wahs this finals season

As the 2026 NRL Finals kick off, GWM has confirmed it is the automotive brand behind the Warriors Bandwagon, that's been causing a frenzy with rugby league fans since it first hit Sydney’s streets earlier this week.

Towed by a GWM Cannon Alpha PHEV, the roadworthy bandwagon has quietly rolled through the city - making surprise appearances outside the clubs and suburbs of the St George Illawarra Dragons, Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, West Tigers and Parramatta Eels.

The Bandwagon itself has been decked out with NZ Warriors branding, integrated lighting and sound system, all powered by GWM Cannon Alpha PHEV Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology when parked. The Cannon Alpha PHEV also boasts up to 3.5 tonnes of towing capacity.

Justin Horo, NRL Legend and Wahs Bandwagonner, said: "I played for Manly and Parramatta, and this year both of them are out. My dad played for the Warriors, so backing them as my third team just makes sense. If your club's out too, get on the Bandwagon and do the same.”

Willie Mason, NRL Legend and also a Wahs Bandwagonner, said, "I've always rated the Warriors - they gave me some of the toughest battles of my career. Now that Canterbury is eliminated, I'm grabbing a Wahs jersey and jumping on board and riding this bandwagon all the way to October."

Cameron George, One NZ Warriors CEO, said: “It takes a village to succeed in this competition, and our bandwagoners are a huge part of that journey. They bring energy, passion and belief wherever they are, helping grow our community and create an atmosphere that makes this club so special. We’re incredibly proud to have partners like GWM who understand the importance of bringing fans along for the ride and giving them new and creative ways to show their pride in our footy club.”

GWM spokesperson Steve MacIver, said: "The Warriors hold a special place in the hearts of footy fans across both New Zealand and Australia. Unveiling the Wahs Bandwagon in Sydney is our way of bringing people together for the finals, backing this team, and showing what the GWM Cannon Alpha PHEV can do when it's put to work - with enough towing capacity to carry 3.5 tonnes of brand new Warriors fans."

The Bandwagon will keep rolling wherever the Wahs play and Australians are invited to follow the GWM Bandwagon's journey across GWM's social channels throughout the finals series.
