The GWM New Vehicle Warranty applies to all new GWM vehicles first sold in New Zealand through authorised GWM dealers. The Warranty Period is 7 years / unlimited km for vehicles sold from January 1st, 2024. For vehicles sold and delivered on or after the 1st of October 2018 the warranty period is 5 years or 150,000 Km warranty which applies to Private, General Fleet, National Fleet and Government Buyers. All Great Wall Steed vehicles warranty have 3 years or 100,000 Km warranty. The 7-year unlimited-kilometre warranty applies to vehicles used for private, ABN, general fleet, national fleet and government purposes. This unlimited-kilometre warranty does not apply if the vehicle is used at any time during the warranty period to carry paying passengers—such as CPV, taxi, rideshare, hire-car or rental use. In these cases, the warranty automatically adjusts to 7 years / 150,000 km (whichever occurs first). All GWM HEV, PHEV and BEV vehicles sold in Australia and New Zealand are covered by an 8-year/unlimited kilometre traction battery warranty. Vehicles used for fare-paying passenger transport, including taxis, rideshare and chauffeur services, are covered for 8 years or 150,000km, whichever occurs first. For PHEV and BEV models, a battery SOH reading of 70% or greater, and any associated reduction in driving range, are not considered warranty defects.

GWM ANZ will repair or replace any components which prove defective in material or workmanship, free of all charges, subject to terms and conditions. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have said goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality, even if the failure cannot be classified as ‘major.’ To check the commencement date of your Warranty, please consult the Vehicle Information Statement on the inside front cover of your Owner’s Warranty Book. This will be the date the vehicle is either (1) delivered to its first owner, or (2) put into service by GWM or a GWM Dealer as a company or demonstrator vehicle determined by the date it was reported as sold (whichever date is earlier).
