GWM strengthens aftersales support with new Western Australia Parts Distribution Centre

Corporate|

GWM announces that its new Western Australia Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) is officially online and fully operational, marking a multi-million-dollar investment in the brand's national aftersales network.

Established under a multi-year lease agreement, the facility strengthens GWM's support for its growing dealer network across Western Australia by improving parts availability, reducing delivery lead times and enabling overnight delivery of stocked parts to dealers across the region. The new centre will help reduce vehicle servicing and repair wait times while providing faster support for customers requiring urgent replacement parts.

The WA PDC launches with more than 1,100 SKUs and over 30,000 individual parts, representing more than $1 million in inventory. The stock includes fast- and medium-moving parts, accident and attrition components, maintenance items, Capped Price Service (CPS) parts and high-tech vehicle systems, providing immediate support for dealer and customer demand across the state.

The first direct inbound replenishment shipment from China is scheduled to arrive in August 2026, with inventory levels to be continually refined based on dealer demand, vehicle sales growth and purchasing trends.

John Kett, Chief Operating Officer, GWM Australia and New Zealand, said:

"Australia is a vast country, and providing localised support close to our customers and dealer network is essential to delivering the level of service they expect. Establishing a dedicated PDC in WA reflects our long-term commitment to the market and ensures customers receive the same fast, reliable parts supply, regardless of where they are in Australia."

Aniket Nadkarni, Head of Parts, Accessories and Logistics, GWM Australia, said:

"By holding inventory locally in Western Australia while remaining connected to our distribution centres in Victoria and Queensland, we've created a more agile and resilient supply chain. It allows us to respond faster to dealer demand, improve parts availability and reduce wait times for customers, ensuring our aftersales support keeps pace with the growth of the GWM brand."

Alongside the WA PDC, GWM has introduced Cross-Warehouse Fulfilment across its three Australian centres. Dealer orders will now be fulfilled from whichever warehouse has available stock, improving parts availability, reducing back orders and providing greater flexibility across GWM's national supply chain.

The WA Parts Distribution Centre marks another significant investment in GWM’s aftersales network, supporting its 124-strong national dealer network with a faster, more responsive and resilient parts supply chain to deliver an increased ownership experience for our customers.
